也有傳說說大頭佛是個麻煩的傢伙，挑逗了年獸反而被追了
（之所以在香港有dai tau fut這個用詞來比喻製造麻煩的人！）

There are many sayings about big head buddha! 

Some say he was a lion tamer who tamed the “Nian” (lion dance as we all know) which was eventually became the guardian to the villagers; but some says he is a troublemaker, the one who teases the lion and gets chased after.
